  1. Real wisdom lies in our heart and body, not in our head. Our egos would love for us to believe that our brain run the show, but that simply isn't the case. Are you listening to what your body and heart are telling you? 
  2. Sometimes we're so dialed into the world and the people around us, we can notice the change in their breath and what it's telling us BUT are we noticing our own breath? Are we breathing shallowing? Are we holding our breath? Are we open to a long pause in a conversation to really take in what's being said?
  3. Breathing well does a complex host of things for our bodies and brains, but it truly is as simple as it sounds. There's nothing complicated about coming back to your conscious breath. Make time for it throughout the day and you'll notice remarkable changes in your stress levels, your posture and ability to focus.
  4. One of the most profound things Michael said about his experience with nonverbal Autistic children and their families and what he's learned from them during this interview was, " You know our electromagnetic field of our heart is 5,000 times as powerful as our head and these kids pick it up, they just get it that's their heart people. So, if you can change the energy around your heart, you can change the energy around the situation and that's where the real change can happen."
  5. When we focus on our breath and bring that into a situation versus anxiety, tight breathing and shoulders, we're offering someone the ability to feel seen, supported and not judged. We can help change just by approaching someone who is struggling with a conscious breathing and calm energy.
