EPISODE 40: How to Break Away from Overdoing with Celeste Headlee
Show Notes

Why listen? Here are just a few “heart taps” from this episode with journalist, radio host, author and podcaster Celeste Headlee:

  1. It’s important to know what you do well and don’t do well.
  2. You are not a 7-11…the “business of you” needs to have an opening and closing time.
  3. Human beings only have the capacity to focus for about 4 hours a day.
  4. Working more hours does not help us get more done.
  5. Many times, the more successful you are, the busier you are, and the less likely you’ll be to be able to enjoy your success and financial freedom.
  6. Our addiction to our electronics is a symptom. What do you think your cause is?
  7. Make time for play and hobbies…for no reason or outcome.
  8. Even if you think you don’t have time for play…do it anyways!!
  9. Let go of the feeling that you have to be good at everything.
  10. People enjoy you, your conversation and your company more than you realize.
  11. Get out of your own way!
  12. Research shows that you make a much better impression by what you ask versus what you say.
  13. Create your own daily routine that fits who you are!
