Show Notes

Why Listen? Here are just a few HEART TAPS from this episode with Jaime Kurowski of She Makes Art

  1. We get to choose the words that we surround ourselves with.
  2. The journey back to ourselves is a daily practice.
  3. If you don’t like where you are…ask yourself what are you repeating, what are you thinking, saying and believing?
  4. Choose love over fear.
  5. If you are constantly reliving the past or the thinking about the future in your mind..you are not able to be truly present.
  6. When you first wake up, there is so much potential there…so don’t pick up for phone first.
  7. There is so much goodness that we are missing out on, by not turning things off?
  8. Have the audacity to take the time to do the thing(anything)that might not be the societal norm but that feeds your soul! Rest, meditate, go for a walk, paint, grow something, start a business, write that poem.
  9. You can’t see awe when you are in stress and in the rushing.
  10. Sometimes we keep ourselves in that wheel of hard.
  11. Find a place for your words to go. A journal, art, music, poetry, anywhere…but stuck inside.
  12. Get it all out, so you can be here now.

GUEST BIO:
Jaime Kurowski is a former school teacher who accidentally became a writer and started a soulful art business after a messy divorce.  Among other things, she makes one of a kind driftwood art pieces that are burned freehand with all the words that "live in her bloodstream."  Words of love, literature, nature, resilience, and a touch of Jersey sass where she grew up.  She is a single mom who took a leap of faith when she quit teaching this past year to pursue her art full time.  During this year, she also created a workshop and podcast called Awe-dacity to collect courage! She wants to share stories of the audacity to love, leave, lead and take leaps of faith to inspire others to do the same. She herself had the audacity to leave a marriage, quit a job, sell her art, share her poetry, start a business, buy magenta glasses, and start her podcast, to name a few. Her life's purpose is clear...to help guide us back to our authentic selves through the power of words and art.  Find Her @ https://www.shemakes.art/
